#artistsupportpledge was started during the lockdown in the Uk due to Covid -19 pandemic.It was the brain child of an artist called Mathew Burrows. Due to the pandemic many artist found themselves without work, teaching, technical support, gallery work. Exhibition sales also disappeared. In an attempt to help alleviate some of this stree he instigated the ARTIST SUPPORT PLEDGE.

The concept was a simple one, post images of your work to sell for NO MORE than £200 each (not including shipping). Every time you reach £1000 of sales youn pledge to buy another artist work. ANYONE CAN BUY THE WORK BY GETTING IN TOUCH WITH THE ARTIST.

This movement helped a lot artists survive the lock down and hence the concept continues after the lockdown as it helps the artist during these tough times.
